The Game Awards 2018 was a testimony to how great a year it was for gamers and game developers alike. The benchmark set for games in 2019 is only expected to rise and onwards with these hyped games coming out.
Resident Evil 2
Resident Evil has been a part of our gaming collection for as long as we can remember. With number of live-action films already made, this game has made quite a name for itself. This game is a remake of survival horror Resident Evil 2 (1998) and will also be third person. It is said to be coming out on 25th of January for Microsoft Windows, Playstation 4 and Xbox One. Far Cry New Dawn
This will be a first person shooter game and a sequel to Far Cry 5 developed by Ubisoft. It is set to be released on 15th of February and will be available on Microsoft Windows, Playstation 4 and Xbox One. Here’s the world premiere trailer for the game.
Developers of Mass Effect series are bringing us another fantastic science fiction game by the name of Anthem. It is an online multiplayer action role-playing game developed by BioWare and set to release on 22nd February 2019. Check out its trailer below.
Devil May Cry 5
Devil May Cry series has been the king of fantasy genre for quite a while now. Another addition to this series is coming this March, as its release date has been set for 8th of that month. We will get to see Dante again alongside Nero in action with breathtaking visuals and entrancing fight sequences. Capcom has taken hack and slash games to unreal levels. They are publishing this game on Microsoft Windows, Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
Mortal Kombat 11
NetherRealm studios announced the next part of Mortal Kombat series at The Game Awards 2018. It has played a huge part in their success and the upcoming part only seems to have gotten better. The release date is set at 23rd of April and this game will be available on Nintendo Switch, Microsoft Windows, Playstation 4 and Xbox one. You can check out the reveal trailer below.
Another addition to the post apocalyptic action adventure genre will be Days Gone. The reveal trailer at E3 included a bit of gameplay and it is safe to assume that this could be another game to look forward to. But with The Last of Us 2 coming out, it is a mystery how this game will make a room for itself but Bend Studios has made this an exclusive for PlayStation to come out on April 26 and are ready for a challenge. CD Projekt has put a lot of effort in developing the readaptation of Cyberpunk 2013 which was released in 1988. A role-playing game that was published by R. Talsorian Games. The release date for this game has not been announced yet but it is believed to be releasing this year. Adam Badowski (game director) has confirmed the game will feature content that is unsuitable for children. It will be releasing on Microsoft Windows, Playstation 4 and Xbox One. The trailer sure looked promising, we’ll have to see if it lives up to our expectations.
The Last of Us Part II
This games needs no introduction. With massive success of its predecessor, The Last of Us 2 is already one of the most hyped games. Naughty Dogs are already famous for their unparalleled Uncharted series and they are not coming slow with this series so far as well. The game will be a PlayStation 4 exclusive and will be released in summer somewhere near June or July. No release date has been finalised yet. Here’s the release trailer if you still haven’t seen it.
